Is working on a pottery wheel difficult for you as a beginner? Well, you don’t necessarily have to master a pottery wheel to craft something beautiful. Beginner artists can start by decoding the wonders of hand sculpting. But, before you start the sculpting process, make sure you pick the right clay. While the market would expose you to a range of options, only some are manufactured the right way to help you achieve perfect results.

One such option from the premium-quality manufacturers is the CiaraQ Polymer Clay.

CiaraQ Polymer Clay: Is it good for sculpting?

If you love colors, CiaraQ doesn’t disappoint you in that context. This starter kit brings you 24 different and vibrant colors that are available in small blocks and wrapped in plastic pouches to ensure that it doesn’t dry out. Each of these blocks weighs about 0.39oz and is just the right amount to help you craft without wasting this marvelous clay.

The colors give you a chance to imagine something beautiful and can be sculpted with ease with a bit of kneading. Simply cut out the required amount of clay from the dough and start kneading to get it all soft. Doing this helps mold the parts of your project with ease.

Additionally, the clay comes with three durable plastic-made sculpting tools that make the process easier and accurate. You can create beautiful designs with the tools and ensure precision as you craft. If you are worried about safety, the clay doesn’t contain any toxic materials that could harm you or your child in any way. This eco-friendly polymer clay has brightly colored pigments that are introduced to the clay in strict adherence to the ASTM D-4236 safety standards & requirements.

Perfect for beginners & children exploring their skills, this polymer clay can be used to craft small ornaments, miniature characters, model animals, and more. It is perfect for anyone who is imaginative, creative, & intellectual. So if you are looking for a Christmas gift for your friend who loves to craft, this is it.

Can you bake the CiaraQ polymer clay in the oven?

Yes, you can definitely bake the CiaraQ polymer clay in the oven. As recommended in the packaging, make sure you set your oven at a 275oF temperature & bake it for 10 to 15 minutes. If you do not have an oven with you, there are alternative methods suggested for curing the clay. You can opt for the boil method, wherein you place the clay sculpture inside the boiling pot and let it cure for 20 to 30 minutes.

Keep in mind that the boiling method might not work as well as the oven curing method. Plus, it only works on sculptures that are small in size, which is about 1/3rd of an inch. Alternatively, you can also use a hair blower to cure the pieces that are 1 or 2 inches in size.

When received in the package, the clay might seem very dry, hard, and difficult to work with. You need to knead it slowly in your palms until it seems soft enough to mold with your hands. When done in the wrong way, the clay will remain hard and become difficult to craft with.
